Created by Dr. Marlon P. Rimando, Kumusta Pusa® is a children’s literacy and cultural storytelling initiative created to provide comfort, foster empathy, and promote Filipino values. Through read-aloud books, songs, characters, and community engagements, it nurtures childhood imagination, identity, emotional well-being, and cultural pride.
At the heart of the initiative is saluhan, the idea of lifting one another up together. This community-centered philosophy encourages children to understand that growing, learning, and caring for others do not have to happen alone.
